2025-2026 1st Quarter Live United Grants Information

ALLEGANY COUNTY

Interfaith Pantry
Live United Grant funds will be used to purchase hygiene items and cleaning supplies to stock the food pantry. This will provide individuals and families in need with items such as shampoo, soap, dish liquid, toilette paper, etc. that are not covered in the SNAP program but are still necessary.

Western MD Jaycees
Funds were used to provide 25 children with hygiene bags that were selected to take part in their annual Holiday Shopping Tour.

 

GARRETT COUNTY

Accident Elementary School Special Education
Live United grant funds were used to create DIY Bedtime in a Box to distribute to younger students. These boxes will help establish a healthy bedtime routine for students as well as reduce absenteeism.

Bridging Gaps
Live United Grant funds were used to purchase brown paper bags and masking tape to provide breakfasts, lunches and healthy snacks for 100 Broadford Elementary School Students to take home on weekends.

Garrett County Public Schools
Live United Grant funds were used to pay fees associated with having a service dog for three of the Garrett County Elementary Schools.

Northern High School
Live United grant funds were used to offset fees associated with the school therapy dog.

Northern Middle School
Live United grant funds were used to pay fees for certification and insurance for the school therapy dog.

Yough Glades Elementary School
Live United Grant funds were used to create a calming area within the classroom to support students social-emotional well-being. 

Crellin Elementary School
The Apiary used in the curriculum for hands on learning was treated for Varroa Mites. These mites make the bees sick. In order to maintain a healthy hive for continued use Oxallic Acid was used to treat the hive.

 

MINERAL COUNTY

Fountain Primary
Funds were used by the PBIS Program to purchase rewards for students as a way to reinforce and encourage positive behavior, good choices and learning.

Frankfort Elementary School
Funds were used to purchase books as a reward for students with a 95% or higher attendance rate. This promotes good attendance as well as encourages reading for pleasure.

Mercy Outreach
Live United Grant funds were used to purchase 120 blankets to provide those in need at their annual Holiday Event.
